Dear ladies, Bella and I have prepared a truly unique event 😱 We have never invited you to a construction site before 😁

🌟🌟🌟 How do you like this combo: seeing Klimt’s ceiling works up close + baguette, oysters, and croissants in one of the best French places in Vienna + the story of the Ferstel Passage!?

🥁 A visit to Vienna’s main theatre — the Burgtheater — right while restoration works are taking place! They will let our group in while the builders are on their lunch break. And getting this time slot was a story of its own — Bella had to work very hard to secure it 🙈 Tickets online were sold out in just 3 (!) minutes!

‼️ Maximum — 10 participants (according to the theatre’s safety rules during the renovation works)

We are going to the Burgtheater right now — while restorers are working on the frescoes — so that we can:

❤️‍🔥 see the restored ceiling frescoes by Klimt up close
❤️‍🔥 examine Klimt’s original cartoons — because of the fragility of the paper they are almost never displayed and are kept in special storage, but on this day they will be shown to us!
❤️‍🔥 understand what makes the design drawings by Angelika Prokopp so special
❤️‍🔥 literally climb the construction scaffolding and look closely at the frescoes — what has already been restored and what still lies ahead

🥐 After the tour we will head to the wonderful French bistro Beaulieu, where tables for groups of this size are normally not reserved inside — but for us, they made an exception! 😉

There Bella will tell us the story of the Ferstel Passage and of Mr. Ferstel himself — in fact the only architect whose name was given to a palace in Vienna.
